Pocket RTA Ultra is a highly portable real-time spectrum analyser for your PC and iPAQ 211 and is the latest addition to our range of award winning RTA software packages, expanding on Pocket RTA Pro and adding support for the latest high resolution iPAQ 211 devices.

PocketRTA Ultra has many advanced features which are normally only found in much more expensive sound analysis software, providing fast and accurate spectrum analysis suitable for both amateur hi-fi enthusiasts and professional A/V engineers. Uses include system calibration, monitoring of noise levels and testing of audio equipment.

PocketRTA Ultra samples sounds picked up by the built-in microphone on the iPAQ 211 or the input of your PC's sound card and then applies a Fourier Transform to the samples to obtain a frequency spectrum. The result is an accurate representation of the sampled sound broken down into its frequency components.

PocketRTA Ultra gives total control over input sample rate and FFT length, so you can tailor the display to your needs. Sample rates up to 44Khz allow frequencies of up to 22Khz to be measured. Various display modes include, linear narrow band, logarithmic narrow band, Octave, 1/3 Octave, 1/6 Octave, Sample, SPL and Spectrogram displays with ANSI A and C weighting curves. PocketRTA Ultra allows real-time magnification (up to 250 times) of a selected frequency range. The touch screen allows selection of the nearest FFT point giving a display of it's frequency and decibel level. Up to 64 times averaging and variable decay settings allow more stable readings for fluctuating or unstable input signals whilst our unique noise cancellation system allows you to remove unwanted background noise.

New Features of the Ultra Edition

PocketRTA Ultra is specifically written to take advantage of the higher resolutions on WM5 and WM6 devices. Boasting a much improved interface and plenty of new features make this a must have for new and existing RTA users.

It is now possible to run the program in either portrait, landscape or even interted modes.

Another new feature is the capture bar, allowing you to capture and overlay up to 3 additional traces over the real time display. These traces can be saved to file, exported for future reference or used in compare mode against live inputs.

New features include a mode for capturing LEQ (equivalent continuous sound levels), and the ability to capture and analyse sounds frame by frame with the new Impulse mode.

Another new feature is the ability to calculate RT60 reverberation times.

Save and Load calibration and FFT settings as profiles.

Comes complete with a PC version of the software, which can display at bigger screen sizes than the iPAQ 211 version will allow.
