MASPware GuardMobile is a security- and controlsystem for iPAQ 211 devices. Its a silent, hidden program, which (e.g. after a thievery) executes commands remotely initiated by the iPAQ 211 owner.

Imaging, your cellular iPAQ 211 has been stolen. What can you do now?

• You can initiate an alarm and lock the iPAQ 211
• You can locate your iPAQ 211 (GPS receiver is required)
• If your stolen iPAQ 211 contains top secret data, you can do a hardreset remotely to erase all data! (Use carfully!)
• You can initiate a callback to overhear the thief

How does GuardMobile work?

The iPAQ 211 owner installs and configures GuardMobile. He sets an arbitrary iPAQ 211 PIN and adds cellular numbers, which can control this iPAQ 211, to totally prevent abuse. After activation, the program stays "silently" in background until its asked to do some action.

Since every iPAQ 211 supports SMS nowadays, the whole communication is done via SMS, which means you can control your iPAQ 211 using any other cellular iPAQ 211 (no iPAQ 211 required!). No internet access is necessary. The iPAQ 211 replies all actions with a confirmation SMS.
